General Manager Job Description As a General Manager you are part of the management team of the store and are responsible for managing the overall operations of the store while modeling company standards and acting in accordance with policies and procedures at all times. This includes the training, development and supervision of staff, hiring, disciplining, discharging, proper staffing and scheduling, customer satisfaction, product quality, financial performance, safety and security. Engage in conversation with customers to understand customer needs and expectations and communicate them to the Store Manager and the team. Exercise good judgment and decision making to achieve results. Utilize existing tools to identify and prioritize and communicate to the team expectations for operational excellence A comfortable work environment is the most important part of job satisfaction. Help and guide your team to understand their roles and achieve their maximum potential. Timely and effective review process with continual feedback. Schedule properly for the business, use body counts, previous history, on-calls Challenge self to continually learn and push expectations and accountability complete all daily, weekly, monthly paperwork correctly and timely utilize tools to analyze store performance to correct issues determine trends and improve overall operations. develop/strengthen neighborhood relationships with business councils/ associations, schools, landlord, events, donations, other local businesses. consistently pass health inspections and Company Standards checklist ensure that company funds are being utilized properly and within company guidelines
