Sales Representative - Scientific InstrumentsNew England territoryYou will be based in the New England area and have responsibility for the sales of electron microscopes within a territory which encompasses Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut and New York (north of route 90). This involves significant travel to call on existing and potential customers. You will use your knowledge of scientific instrument sales to generate leads and develop new opportunities for growth in the mid-western region of the United States. JEOL hires self-motivated professionals with scientific industry experience and gives them the tools to succeed. Key Responsibilities:Promote new and existing electron microscope products to customers to achieve sales goalsContribute to a positive work environment and promote the values and mission of JEOL and its product linesSolicit orders, quote prices and credit terms, and prepare sales contractsBuild lasting relationships with customers to focus on long-term growthInteract with existing and prospective customers to demonstrate products and explain featuresMonitor market conditions, competitor products, and industry activity to keep informed about new products/ information of interest to customers to incorporate data into the business planFollow up with customers to resolve problems and inform manager of customer concerns or potential issuesMaintain customer information in Salesforce database and ensure accurate reporting, records, and files for proper management of territoryQualificationsBachelor's degree in Business or related field, plus 5+ years capital equipment sales' experience preferably in the field of electron microscopy and microanalysis; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust be goal oriented, self-motivated, have excellent organizational skills with a successful sales track recordComputer proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and expense reporting systemsAbility to generate leads using LinkedIn and social mediaStrong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skillsWillingness to travel extensively throughout the New England and New York areaAbility to communicate in Mandarin desiredAbout JEOLSince 1949, the JEOL legacy has been one of outstanding innovation in developing instruments used to advance scientific research and technology.
