Tracking Code 2018296 Job Description POSITION SUMMARY -- Perform various, financial and administrative duties to produce credit analysis for the commercial loan origination initiatives of the Bank.-- Prepare commercial loan approvals for new credit facilities, amended credit facilities and annual reviews of commercial loans.-- Work in conjunction with Loan Officers to generate commercial loan proposals from the financial data obtained from the borrowers and guarantors.-- These responsibilities include risk management within FDIC guidelines through adherence to policies and procedures. -- ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES -- Review, analyze and underwrite commercial loan applications. Prepare written loan presentations for new loans, loan renewals and loan extensions, detailing the borrower's credit worthiness and bringing to attention any deficiencies in the credit or exceptions to the Bank's loan policy. Perform annual review of loans and lending relationships, ensuring adherence to loan policies and prudent underwriting criteria. Prepare written credit comments analyzing year-end financial statements or interim financial statements. Spread financial statements, analyze financial statements and perform collateral and cash flow analyses. Research and prepare comparable property sales and/or rental information for all properties taken as collateral. Deal effectively and tactfully with customers, visitors, third party vendors, employees and officers, in person, via e-mail and on the telephone. Collaborate with the Lending Officer to ensure accuracy of narrative.-- Perform other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS -HS diploma or equivalent -Bachelor's degree in, or with a concentration in, Finance, Accounting or Business. ---2+ years of commercial banking analyst experience or similar experience in an analytical position. -Formal credit training preferred, but not required. -Strong math skills required. -Strong analytical skills required. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. -Must proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel and with industry specific software applications. -Must be able to work independently. -Must have a solid and consistent work history. -- Employee must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions: (a) perform work activities requiring, instructing, supervising, persuading or speaking with others; (b) respond appropriately to criticism from a supervisor; and (c) be able to work with specified time-frames. -- PREFERENCES Multilingual capabilities and/or multicultural perspective Formal credit training -- East Boston Savings Bank is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer that values diversity and the strength it creates.
