Operational Excellence Leader

SUMMARY: The Operational Excellence Leader will be responsible for
supporting the development and implementation of operational
excellence throughout the organization. They will be a change
leader, responsible for building consensus for transforming the
business using the Paradigm Business System (PBS) principles. This
includes focusing on creating a workplace culture that encourages
employees in all facets of the company to streamline and improve
safety, quality, delivery and cost. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates and Leads Kaizen events. Supports and
works closely with Director of Operational Excellence Works
independently to complete projects as assigned. Contributes to the
design, development and updating of Paradigm Business Systems
tools. Maintains OpEx SharePoint site training materials and
standard templates. Finds application opportunities for OpEx
strategy and tools. Serves as a change agent promoting the use of
OpEx methodology, as part of Corporate OpEx Team. Develops strong
working relationships with management at all levels. Assists site
teams, as needed, to ensure improvements are made and sustained.
Consolidates company wide OpEx activities and results for Corporate
Business Review presentations. QUALIFICATIONS: Willingness to
travel as required Lean or Six Sigma training/certification
required. Familiarity with Microsoft Office software such as Word,
PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and Visio. Continuous Improvement
Project Management/Leadership Demonstrated financial achievement
through the deployment and the implementation of OpEx tools. Strong
coaching skills with significant change impact across
organizational boundaries and across multiple sites. A fluent and
highly articulate communicator with excellent interpersonal and
influencing skills. Demonstrated ability to develop strong
relationships with business leaders and subject matter experts.
Able to mentor and facilitate Lean culture change in an environment
with varying acceptance Fluent with data-driven analysis and
performance metrics including data visualizations for
presentations. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: BS Degree or equivalent experience
8-10 years of manufacturing experience (preferably in Aerospace).
Experience facilitating Kaizen events. Experience in training Lean
tools to all levels within an organization. LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and
blueprints. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before employees in the organization.
