be part of. Job Summary: A Calibration Technician Level 4 must be
able to safely complete monthly planned and demand maintenance
tasks per assign cGMP procedures. This role is designed to ensure
instrumentation maintains required specifications and reliability
levels. This requires multiple skill sets based on electrical
theory, instrumentation knowledge, trouble shooting, failure
analysis (RCA), Lonza processes, education, software skills, and
prior experience. A senior technician is expected to be able to
provide instructions as a trainer to assist junior technicians with
their training requirements. The focus at this level should shift
to team development and process improvement methodology. *Scheduled
hours for this position are 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on rotating
weeks: Week 1 - Thursday - Saturday Week 2 - Wednesday - Saturday
Overtime pay and annual bonus opportunity are available. Key
Responsibilities:
- Assess calibration requirements (ranges, frequency, etc.) for
new instruments and add to CMX for routine maintenance. Interface
with global project team to ensure handover timelines are met.
During project phase, team will be on a M-F schedule and will
transition to a shift schedule to align with routine 24/7
operations.
- Perform routine calibration and maintenance work at a highly
proficient rate throughout the facility.
- Responsible for ensuring work is completed on time, review and
closure of completed work orders and ensuring all areas of
responsibility are in a state of inspection readiness at all
times.
- Complete safety and cGMP training including classes, reads, and
technical requirements as a trainee and a trainer. It is expected
to demonstrate a higher level of technical training development at
this level.
- Highly proficient at tasks and documentation using CMX, SAP,
DMS, QMS, Excel, word or other software tools as required per GMP
guidelines.
- Provide engineering support such as tracking and closure of
change controls, CAPAs, deviations and general technical
assistance. These types of tasks can also be extended to instrument
and system upgrades.
- Understands site production and maintenance priorities with an
ability to guide other technicians to reach site goals and
compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Key Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong English communication skills; reading, writing,
speaking.
- Ability to commit to scheduled work shifts. Preferred
Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience in Calibration, Metrology, Instrumentation
or related field.
- Advanced electronic knowledge.
- Advanced communication protocol knowledge.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience creating new procedures.
- Experience with cGMP documentation.
- Ability to utilize hand tools.
- Working knowledge of math, reading, and writing.
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
