Seeking a Compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor
Morning Hours: 5 AM to 1:30 PMAre you a passionate and empathetic individual dedicated to making a difference in peoples lives? Do you have experience supporting individuals with opioid addiction and helping them on their journey to recovery? We are looking for a Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team in a role that combines compassion with professional expertise to guide patients through their treatment process.About the Role:As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will:

  • Assist patients through evidence-based medically-assisted treatment programs.
  • Lead both individual and group sessions that focus on crisis management, coping strategies, and recovery support.
  • Monitor patients progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care for patients.Your Responsibilities Will Include:
    • Conducting individual assessments and interviews to evaluate service eligibility.
    • Establishing and reviewing personalized treatment plans for each patient.
    • Completing bio-psychosocial assessments to better understand patient needs.
    • Providing regular individual and group counseling services.
    • Involving families and significant others in the patients recovery process when possible.
    • Addressing patient concerns and grievances in a compassionate and timely manner.
    • Developing aftercare and discharge plans to ensure continuity of care.
    • Assisting with additional responsibilities as determined by your supervisor.What We're Looking For:
      • A Bachelors Degree and 3+ years of individual counseling experience, or a Masters Degree in Behavioral Science with at least 2 years of experience.
      • Experience working with chemically dependent individuals or those battling substance use disorders is highly valued.
      • A counselor with a non-judgmental, accepting, and positive approach to patient care.
