Description: Our Patient Care Coordinators are our first point of
contact with our patients and referral sources and are the face of
our company. To be successful in this role the Administrative
Assistant will enjoy interacting with children, be detail oriented
and have strong organizational, communication, and people skills.
In this role the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
and being a team player are integral. A high level of discretion to
maintain confidentiality of sensitive information is a desirable
attribute; along with the ability to work with minimal supervision,
handle pressure and meet deadlines.Patient Care Coordinator role is
required to work ON-SITE and is a full-time position 40 hours per
week. Patient Care Coordinator Core Responsibilities:Customer
Service:Greet and register patients by collecting insurance
information and demographicsAdvise on general company and services
informationMulti-line phone coverageLiaison for referring
physicians/groups Administrative:Follow standard practices to
ensure logistics of delivering patient devicesVerify patient
insurance and initiate prior authorizationsCollect patient
balancesOperate within Athena Electronic Medical Record
SoftwareScan and upload documents to electronic chartCollaborate
with clinic staff and direct office flow Chart checks for fitting
appointments using the standard checklist formWork closely with
corporate billing team to ensure all documentation for claims are
uploadedGeneral office organization Schedule Maintenance:Review
patient no shows daily by calling, documenting, and rescheduling
appointmentsSchedule appointments for new patientsCoordinate follow
up appointments with patients, therapists, and physiciansPatient
Care Coordinator Qualifications:High School or Associate Degree;
related experience and/or training.Computer competency skills in
Microsoft 365 products (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)Excellent
organization, verbal, and written communication skillsAbility to
manage multiple tasksExcellent customer service skillsDetail
orientedCompassionate, efficient, and professionalMaintain HIPAA
