Ocean Export Clerk

3 to 5 years experience.



Well established, medium sized freight import/export company in Peabody is seeking an experienced associate to join our Ocean Export team, full-time from Monday to Friday - In Person, In the Office. We operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on customer service. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented individual with great organizational skills, a self-starter and quick learner. Direct Experience in freight forwarding, Ocean Export is an absolute requirement; working knowledge of MS Office Suite is required. Second language a plus, especially Far Eastern. The individual hired will be highly trained by some of the best in the business. Training will be hands on in the trenches, you will be challenged. Once trained, as a new member or our team, you will be expected to work independently. Operating platform is Descartes, experience with Descartes is an A+++. This is a different type of position than the big box forwarders. Once trained, up and running, you will be responsible for all aspects from getting the email requesting a quote to archiving the file once the payment is received. It requires thought and creative thinking. You will operate with a great deal of autonomy.
