needs. The Position: We are seeking a full-time Employment
Specialist You will assess individuals on career options and assist
and train them on paid on-site contract work as well as off-site
employment opportunities. Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm (40 hours)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate with Program
Director regarding Individual Service Plans. Implements an
individualized program, based on each person's needs in accordance
with their Individual Service Plan. With support from Full time
Employment Specialist. Maintain data on designated objectives per
the Individual Service Plan. Administer, tabulate and interpret
work related assessments to determine each person's career choices.
Participate in job site tours. Assist in evaluating each
individual's job performance semi-annually. Assist with upkeep and
maintenance of the program, follow cleaning schedule, report any
maintenance issues, etc. Maintain all appropriate certifications
(i.e. First Aid, CPR, PAC, Fire Safety, PABC, Human Rights, etc.)
Other duties as assigned. Required Education/Experience: One year
of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
Experience with contract work, and off site employment helpful.
Required Skills/Knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of
principles of normalization, behavior management and human rights
Valid driver's license and one year of driving experience. Basic
computer skills. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of
this job, employee is frequently required to climb stairs. Must be
able to lift up to 20 pounds. The employee must be able to drive a
vehicle. Must have a normal range of eyesight with or without
corrective lenses. Must have a normal range of hearing with or
without corrective equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made
