Pay: $1,500 to $1,700 per week Shift Information: Nights - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/27/2026 About the Position Job Title: Mental Health Counselor (Contract – Pediatric Psychiatry) Location: 218 East Rd 205, Hampstead, NH 03841 Contract Duration: April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026 with possible extension Shift: 3rd Shift (Night Shift Only) – 8-hour shifts Schedule: Weekends Required Employment Type: Contract Job Overview We are is seeking an experienced Mental Health Counselor for a contract position within a pediatric psychiatric facility. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about working with children and adolescents in a therapeutic setting and are comfortable working night shifts. The Counselor will play a vital role in establishing therapeutic relationships, supporting patient care, and maintaining a safe and structured psychiatric environment. Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with pediatric patients Support a safe, structured, and healing psychiatric environment Provide direct patient care ranging from basic to increasingly complex interventions Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support treatment plans Monitor patient behavior and document observations accurately Assist in crisis intervention when necessary Job Details Shift Length: 8 hours Unpaid Meal Break: 30 minutes On-Call: No Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Additional Information This is a pediatric psychiatric facility —candidates must be comfortable working with children and adolescents Night shifts only (3rd shift) Weekend availability is required Requirements Minimum 3 years of relevant mental health experience Mandatory pediatric experience Bachelor’s Degree (required) BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) Certification Benefits Quick Offer Bonus Offer
