Job Description American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/27/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Rotating, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Apr 27, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 2 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Surgical Med/Surg Unit position requiring recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience and a NH or compact RN license. Details - 32-bed Surgical Unit within a hospital setting, shared with a PCU - Patient population includes post-operative vascular, thoracic, colorectal, and general surgery cases - Common diagnoses include ARDS, esophagectomies, Whipple procedures, and sepsis - RN-to-patient ratio is 4:1 on days and 5:1 on nights - LNA-to-patient ratio is 1:7–11 - Floating to other units is expected - 36-hour work week Requirements - Active NH or compact RN license required - Current BLS certification required - Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma setting - Surgical Med/Surg experience required — candidates without surgical experience will not be considered - Proficiency with chest tubes, trachs, and laryngectomies required - Experience managing drips including Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, and amiodarone required - Experience with lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients required - Telemetry experience required - Complex wound care experience required - Central line care, maintenance, and blood draw experience required - Two references from managers required for consideration Additional Information - Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position — local candidates are not accepted American Traveler Job ID P-688567.
