Our practice is renowned for its holistic and thorough approach to equine health, providing an opportunity for a dedicated Veterinary Technician to grow professionally and personally. In this position, you will support our veterinarians in the diagnoses, treatment, and care of horses, utilizing your skills in a dynamic, hands-on environment. Assist veterinarians in the examination and treatment of horses, including preparation of patients, instruments, and equipment Conduct initial evaluations of the horse's health and maintain detailed medical records Perform routine medical procedures, such as blood draws, administering medications, and wound care under veterinarian supervision Manage anesthesia during surgeries and monitor patient recovery Educate and advise horse owners on general care and medical conditions Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the clinic and surgical instruments Handle laboratory work, including blood tests and analysis of samples Strong handling skills of horses Ability to perform common veterinary medical procedures Knowledge of anesthesia and surgical assistance Capability to maintain accurate and detailed medical records Excellent communication skills for interacting with horse owners and team members Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT) is highly preferred
