Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing integrated healthcare services. The successful candidate will play a key role in our post-acute service offerings, working both in facility-based settings and providing home-based patient care across multiple states. This role involves assessing patient needs, planning and administering therapeutic activities to help patients regain or improve their daily living and work skills. Evaluate patients' condition and needs to develop a suitable occupational therapy treatment plan. Implement therapeutic processes to assist patients in improving their ability to perform tasks in their daily and work lives. Use a variety of treatment techniques to promote independence in personal care, household tasks, and other aspects of daily life. Record patient progress and adjust treatments as needed. Educate patients and their families about strategies for coping with and managing physical limitations. Collaborate with other medical professionals to develop comprehensive rehabilitation plans. Strong understanding of the principles of occupational therapy Ability to construct and carry out tailored treatment plans Effective communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management skills Commitment to patient education and compassionate care Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist NBCOT certification preferred
