370,000-square-foot facility.Director of Analytics & Catalog
MarketingChristianbook is looking for a Director of Analytics &
Catalog Marketing that will be a critical center point for
Christianbook as they continue to grow into a customer-centered,
multi-channel marketing organization. The Director of Analytics &
Catalog Marketing will oversee company initiatives surrounding all
interactions with our customers along with defining, designing and
executing catalog marketing campaigns.Key Responsibilities: Oversee
all customer contacts including digital, mobile, catalog, and email
with the goal of driving customer loyalty and increasing lifetime
value by leveraging customer behavioral and transactional data.
Develop consumer insights from the customer database tool (internal
and/or external) that drives results across all marketing channels.
Development of an integrated marketing strategy that creates
valuable and long-term relationships with our customers. Drive the
top line revenue profitability, including forecasting annual,
monthly, weekly, and daily sales and orders. Support monthly and
annual revenue goals for new customer acquisition from ecommerce
programs and catalog programs while adhering to expense budgets.
Manage the P&L and develop a yearly business plan and annual
budget. Identify current needs based on existing business
structure, new technology and market competition. Manage
third-party external teams pertaining to customer and prospect
data. Manage and negotiate large vendor contracts, and partner with
additional third-party vendors to identify and apply solutions as
needed for database solutions. Conduct independent and team
research to assess value and impact of proposed initiatives.
Ability to translate data into action and push out meaningful
insights. Develop and lead all web analytics and digital reporting,
including developing weekly dashboards and reporting on attributed
sales. Perform detailed analysis on customer data and segmentation.
Analyze campaign performance against established benchmarks,
summarize key insights, and recommend actions to improve
performance. Lead and motivate a talented team of professionals
providing vision, direction and guidance. Instill a results-focused
culture with clear goals that are connected to critical priorities.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The ideal candidate will
have experience managing ecommerce and print within a multi-channel
company. A minimum of 10 years of previous experience in catalog,
ecommerce, and digital marketing with a strong track record working
in the digital space. In-depth knowledge of Customer Data
Platforms, Data Warehouses, and Business Intelligence technology.
Ability to develop and work with customer segmentation models. B2C
and B2B customer database experience including detailing functional
requirements, developing features and rewards, creating
communication strategies, and evaluating program ROI performance.
Experience in Direct Marketing test design and analysis. Must be
technically proficient and knowledgeable in architecture that
gathers customer information and feeds database solutions that
drives and supports database strategies. Must have an in-depth
knowledge of response management and tracking. Have strong thought
leadership skills coupled with excellent collaborative and
influencing traits. Ability to act as a change agent within the
organization. Ability to recognize critical business needs and
determine an appropriate course of action while remaining focused
on strategic intent. Superior analytical skills; both quantitative
and qualitative. Bachelors degree required - MBA in Marketing,
