Company Summary:CNE provides comprehensive IT asset management services for organizations and corporations. In this business--line, we provide value-added services including logistics management, equipment refurbishment, data erasure, product re-marketing, sales, revenue sharing and reporting for our clients. We are headquartered in Peabody, MA with business operations around the world, including--Asia, India, Europe, and Latin America.CNE Direct, Inc. is also engaged in the business of wholesale distribution of technology equipment including--computers, computer components and peripherals, networking and telecommunications hardware--and other electronic products. We obtain supply on consignment and through direct purchase from--end users, large manufacturers (OEMs), and distributers who find themselves with excess inventory. We re-sell those products to end users, other OEMs, distributers, resellers and brokers--worldwide.Position Summary: --Senior Staff Accountants are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the--companys global accounting. The Senior Staff Accountant generally verifies payroll information,--reviews billing details on a monthly basis, prepares and posts journal entries, and maintains the--balance sheet. They track cash and credit payments and rectify banking information on a daily--basis. Senior staff accountants also track sales tax or other specialized tax information as--needed. Other responsibilities include supporting the month-end close process, analyzing data and--presenting to management and investigating anomalies in accounting data. Senior staff accountants also--assist with auditing as needed. Senior staff accountants generally work in an office--environment during regular business hours. A typical day for senior staff accountants involves analyzing--and reviewing vast quantities of accounting data using Excel and other accounting tools,--preparing reports for other accountants and financial officers, and maintaining accurate accounting--records. Senior Staff Accountants act as peer mentors to other operational employees providing them--coaching and training as needed.Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: -- -- Prepare month-end close reports and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account--information in preparation for financial statements. -- -- Prepare and execute journal entries for month-end close, quarter end close, year/end close. -- -- Provides peer mentoring and coaching to accounting employees as needed. -- -- Assists the Controller in coaching and training of incoming Staff Accountants on established--accounting processes and policies. -- -- Assists Controller in daily oversight of accountants and provides back up to these positions--as needed. -- -- Assist in developing and maintaining procedures for all accounting processes -- -- Accountable for the documentation of accounting policies and processes in compliance with R2,--ISO and OHSAS standards. -- -- Internal and External Financial and Project Reporting -- -- Responsible for the main functional areas of accounting:-- -- -- -- -- -- o --Accounts Payable-- -- -- -- -- -- o --Accounts Receivable-- -- -- -- -- -- o --Payroll Functions-- -- -- -- -- -- o --Expense Reports-- -- -- -- -- -- o --QuickBooks Accounting Entries-- -- -- -- -- -- o --Freight Bill Reconciliation-- -- -- -- -- -- o --Credit Card Processing-- -- -- -- -- -- o --PayPal Processing-- -- -- -- -- -- o --Bank Statement Review-- -- -- -- -- -- o --Auditing and Verifying Documents-- -- -- -- -- -- o --Reconciliation-- -- -- -- -- -- o --Inventory Analysis and Reporting-- -- -- -- -- -- o --Following Internal Controls -- -- Maintain general ledger, prepare, and input monthly journal entries, review, and explain--variances from budget and forecast. -- -- Assist with annual and quarterly budgets, forecasts, and reports, including profits/losses by--business unit. -- -- Participate in cross-functional project teams to support system implementations, upgrades,--process improvement initiatives or acquisitions as needed. -- -- Coordinating more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the--accounting and finance team or with other departments.-- -- --Collaborate with other departments to integrate accounting practices with company processes. -- -- Be proactive in problem-solving, developing ideas and solutions to streamline workflows,--processes, and cross-functional efforts. -- -- Communicate effectively and regularly with all levels of the organization, articulate ideas,--and process improvements to executive leadership. -- -- Other special projects as requested by Management.Experience: -- -- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or another related field is desired. -- -- Minimum 5-8 years of experience from a similar position such as Staff Accountant or similar--position.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: -- -- Intermediate Skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other business technologies. -- -- Strong accounting skills with experience utilizing various account methodologies. -- -- Strong attention to detail and excellent organization, time management, and follow-up skills. -- -- Exhibits core value of solid work ethic and commitment when executing duties. -- -- Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle complex issues without losing the--overview. -- -- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -- -- Ability to handle confidential communication and at the same time you are an open and honest communicator. -- -- Proven strong interpersonal and consultative skills, and the ability to collaborate and--develop strong partnerships across functional areas and organizational levels. -- -- Excellent planning skills and able to handle many tasks at the same time. -- -- Strong project management skills and ability to meet project quality expectations within--schedule commitments. -- -- Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. -- -- Strong keeper of tasks and deadlines and you work proactively and take initiative. -- -- Motivated by working in a constantly changing environment. -- -- Detail-oriented with success implementing solutions to create optimal efficiency -- -- Works well independently and as a team member. -- -- Ability to collaborate with diverse individuals.Competencies:Communications Expresses ideas and thoughts verbally, Expresses ideas and thoughts in written--form, exhibits good listening and comprehension, keeps others adequately informed and Selects and--uses appropriate communication methods.Customer Service Displays courtesy and sensitivity, manages difficult or emotional customers--situations;
