selves to work. The Senior Tax Accountant will be working
independently as part of a small tax team. This individual will
primarily be focused on review and extraction of financial data
from accounting systems and assisting external service providers
and in house resources to ensure the preparation of the U.S.
Federal & state income tax returns are effectively, accurately, and
timely filed. This individual will also assist in tax accounting,
international tax compliance, and other tax projects as required.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITES: Coordinate with external service
providers for preparation and review of U.S. Federal & state income
tax returns. Review and extraction of financial data from
accounting systems Work closely with in-house resources and
external service providers to ensure accurate, timely filing sales
and use taxes and other business-related filings. Provide federal &
state tax audit support. Coordinate business tax registrations and
de-registrations. Support the business by completion of exemption
certificates, residency certificates and other routine forms and
correspondence. Manage the tax department calendar. Perform various
tax research projects and prepare written summaries as necessary.
Other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE : To
perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform
each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below
are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability
required. 3 - 5 years of experience in tax required - particularly
taxation of C Corporations and Partnerships. CPA certification or
CPA candidate preferred Masters degree in Tax preferred Proficient
knowledge of US federal and state taxation required Familiarity
with financial and accounting systems preferred - Hyperion/HFM a
plus Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
and financial software Willingness and ability to perform tasks at
all levels, from detailed preparation to high level review.
