You may have a degree in finance or accounting. You love to
organize and make sense of information and think a spreadsheet is
usually a good answer. You may have taken some pre-law classes or
have a paralegal certificate. You're a people person who loves to
help others. You work well surrounded by supportive team members.
You want to continue to learn and grow in the office, then rest

Compensation: $55,120 Base Compensation PLUS: possible merit-based
bonuses & pay increases with demonstrated contribution to the
firm's success; 100% employer-paid health insurance, plus vision,
dental, & life insurance; 401k retirement savings plan, with
employer contributions deposited to your retirement savings account
each pay period; respectful & generous paid work flexibility,
Personal Time Off (PTO), & holiday policies; regular 4-day workweek
Mondays - Thursdays 9am-6pm with every Friday off for regular 3-day
weekends & no nights, weekends, or travel required (your personal
time is your own); free parking or about a 20-minute walk from the

Responsibilities:
What You'll Be Doing:
Your important work will help make sure that the legal documents we
create for our estate planning clients actually work when tested in
the real world by aligning financial assets with legal documents
for practical use and ensuring the firm's profitability with
timely, accurate billing and collections (so we can all get paid
for the great work we do!).
Your primary responsibilities will include:
--- Gathering and organizing information from clients and their
financial advisors and accountants in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
and on paper
--- Regularly communicating over the phone, via email, in online
meetings, and in person with clients and their other professional
advisors to communicate advice and answer their routine
questions
--- Searching the Corporate Database and checking for Annual
Reports
--- Reviewing (often lengthy and complex) Partnership Agreements
like you're looking for Waldo wearing buzzwords on his shirt
stripes to flag to the Attorney's attention
--- Searching both sides of the Registries of Deeds and carefully
drafting Deeds and related real estate legal documents to transfer
title to real property as part of clients' estate plans
--- Preparing client engagement agreements, sending invoices to and
assisting clients with their billing questions, following up on
Accounts Receivable, tracking and carefully recording payments
correctly
You will never be bored! Although there is a lot of precision
review and analysis that goes into the data entry and document
creation that requires sustained focus, it's also a very
people-oriented position and a service business. Our workdays are
punctuated with client messages, calls, office visits, scheduled
meetings, and scheduling changes, so it's never exactly the same
day twice.
Qualifications:
The Skills, Experience, & Qualifications You Need to Thrive in this
Role:
--- Facility working in spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel or Google
Sheets)
--- Experience or aptitude to quickly learn to use: Macs and Apple
devices, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Pro, Google Calendar and
Gmail, & Slack
--- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including
spelling, grammar, and the ability to clearly communicate complex
ideas simply and professionally to a wide variety of people of
varying educational levels and personal and professional
experiences to help them understand how we can help them, what they
can expect of us, what they need to do next, and the status of
their matters
--- Strong organizational skills to keep track of important
details, upcoming appointments and deadlines, and required
follow-up tasks
--- Prior legal experience of some kind, such as working in a law
firm, for a foundational background regarding professional ethical
obligations around client confidentiality, and basic familiarity
with foundational terminology and core concepts about wills,
trusts, and estates strongly preferred
